I spy: Zorro chillin' out at Dolores Park

Alone and relaxing on land "where hipsters graze," as Kyle so accurately puts it, this gentleman stood out from the crowd of skinny jeans and American Apparel hoodies with his elaborate ensemble, which was slightly reminiscent of the uniform of a certain masked hero. I love how he looked so natural and at peace, as if he didn't have a single worry, in his flat-brimmed sombrero, black vest, and polka dot shirt. Fortunately for me, I was able to enjoy a glimpse of his presence again as we passed ways on Haight Street recently. He pretty much donned the same exact getup, just swapped the shirt with a flashy red one. I shall pay him a compliment the next time I spot him.

I spy: A puritan walking his cat on a leash

This lean, middle-aged man caught my attention from 2 or 3 blocks away on Frederick Street the other day. I didn't know what was more amusing: his anachronistic ensemble or the fact he was strolling leisurely with his feline friend on a purple leash. Oddness aside, both man and cat seemed to be relaxed, unperturbed by their surroundings, and savoring the unusual January warmth and sunshine in San Francisco. Can't hate on that.
