Hummus & avocado toast

I used to not be the biggest fan of avocados. While I could appreciate the bright green-colored flesh, its consistency, on top of the blandness, was always somewhat off-putting. I can now, however, thoroughly enjoy this nutritionally-dense fruit thanks to this newly discovered snack. The hummus really rounds out all the flavors and the crunch of the toast is very satisfying. I didn't bother with the roasted tomato the recipe calls for and used regular wheat bread since I'm not sensitive to gluten. I also skipped out on the olive oil and balsamic vinegar, and instead just seasoned the avocado with a little bit of lemon juice, salt and pepper and just a pinch of cayenne pepper at the end.
